In the 2000s, Agropur wanted to automate cheese packaging and increase the shelf life of fine cheeses. We therefore carried out tests on packaging and product appearance. In 2009, following trials and a call for tenders, Agropur acquired a Mecapack FS930 thermoformer and an S3000 traysealer for packaging OKA, Havati, Fontina and other cheeses. Today, Agropur uses several Mecapacks in its plants.
